The people of Kansas City have a long tradition of doing good while having an even better time. Here are five fun ways to help the community in October.
Goodwill Haunting
Friday, Oct. 13, at the Brass on Baltimore
For many people, there’s nothing scarier than the prospect of donning formal wear. Even panicky partiers can don black tie duds knowing that their participation at Friday’s Halloween party will assist Goodwill’s mission to “empower people with disadvantages and different abilities to earn and keep employment through individualized programs and services.” Besides, the open bar, enticing food from Michael Forbes Bar & Grille and live music should be more than enough to help celebrants forget any anxieties about bowties and high heels. Tickets are $125 through Goodwill Haunting.
