MoKan Goodwill Partners with CWC Joint Venture: Workforce Training Program

MoKan Goodwill is proud to be partnering with the CWC Joint Venture: Workforce Training Program to offer essential skills training to prepare job candidates who will be working on the New Terminal & Parking at KCI. The KCI New Terminal and Parking Project’s Workforce Training Program (WTP) is a three-week paid classroom training program designed to provide access to careers in the construction industry for Kansas City area residents with little to no construction experience. The WTP curriculum focuses on construction math skills, job site safety, First Aid and CPR training, financial literacy, diversity/inclusion training, and trade-specific involvement. Participants who successfully complete the three weeks of classroom training will be hired by a subcontractor on the KCI New Terminal Project and will be entered into a union pre-apprenticeship program.

Applications for WTP classes will be available online through August 8, 2021. Motivated individuals who are 18 years of age or older who are committed to building a new career in the construction industry can learn more about the WTP, participant benefits, and how to apply at https://www.cwcjv.com/wtp
